I started learning web development in late 2019. I purchased a domain for my cat, Karen to practice making simple static websites. But, unknown to me, my negligence on DNS security would result in me being chased by a litigation team hired by a multi-million dollar copyright protection company based in California. This would send police to my door and lead to almost two months of negotiations with lawyers via phone to try and prove my innocence.



It's not enough that my friends on Spotify know what music I am listening to at any given moment - my followers on GitHub have to know too. This post explains how I wrote a bot to always update my GitHub bio with whatever song I am currently listening to on Spotify.
